Nokia N95 8gb Vs Nokia N95 – More Than Just Extra Memory

Mobile phones manufacturers, like their computer counterparts, are continuously upgrading their products. Nokia, as a leading latest mobile phone provider, is doing exactly the same. From its previous product Nokia N95, it now unleashes an upgrade to this model with the introduction of Nokia N95 8GB.

Now, the big question that popped up in the minds of the consumer public is whether this new, upgraded product is better than its predecessor. Is the question merely centered on allowing a bigger storage capacity than the earlier model? What basically is the difference of the new mobile phone compared to its earlier series?

The Difference

Given that the Nokia N95 8GB is an upgrade, the features of both versions are the same. Both the old and new models share the same qualities. It is also given that the new model has an 8GB onboard flash memory. It is safe to move on now and deal with the difference between the new model and its older counterpart.

In this new series of N95, the obvious change is the omission of an expansion card slot. This modification in the new model can be considered as the major and significant feature that separates it from its earlier version. What this means is a loss in the convenience of the user in swapping memory cards.

This new model also presents as a heavier version - almost 8g to be specific. This quality equates to a relatively more solid feel of the gadget's well-built body. More than that, there is an improvement in terms of the two plates of the slider since there are limited chances for shifting.

Though the Nokia N95 8GB is heavier, it is surprisingly thinner than the original model. The secret to this is the removal of the mechanical lens cover which is present in the older version. This modification now presents the capability of the mobile phone to sit on its side firmly. This gives the user the benefit of taking a shot from the gadget's camera using a timer, as it is capable of sitting without support.

In terms of interior navigation, the Nokia discarded the shortcut carousel that pops up when the user tries to access the multimedia keys. It is now replaced by cascading tiles for user-friendly purposes.

Nokia N95 8GB or still Nokia N95

Since the features in Nokia N95 8GB and Nokia N95 is basically the same, the difference that separates the two is the additional onboard flash memory designed for the new version. Yet, this is not only the biggest adjustment that is applied to the series. As has been mentioned, the biggest modification that is done to Nokia N95 8GB is the omission of the memory slot card. This prevents the user the opportunity to swap the memory card at his convenience.
